seen as an antioxidant used by the body to produce energy. It is
a cofactor in the electron transport chain, the biological pathway in
cellular respiration from which ATP** and most of the body's energy are
derived.
In a nutshell, the cells in the body need energy to survive. Mitochondria within the cells make this energy (by breaking down fats, sugars, etc.), and CoQ10 is contained within the mitochondria.
