What causes
Female Sexual Dysfunction?
It is estimated that 43% of women suffer
from some form of sexual dysfunction. This term refers to a change
in a woman's sexual response which can cause distress and frustration to
both the woman and her mate. In is not uncommon for urinary
incontinence to occur along with Female Sexual Dysfunction .
Sexual Dysfunction and Pelvic Floor
Muscles:
Weak pelvic “floor” muscles (PC or
Kegel muscles) are often responsible for Female Sexual Dysfunction.
Childbirth, aging muscles, and hormone fluctuations all contribute to the
deterioration of these muscles - which are often associated with urinary
incontinence and the inability to experience sexual satisfaction.
Sexual Dysfunction and Blood Flow:
Three of the four classes of female sexual
dysfunction are mainly due to decreased blood flow to the genital area.
This decrease, especially to the clitoral area, makes orgasm particularly
challenging - even impossible. As women age, the vaginal
tissues atrophy - becoming thinner, weaker, and dryer. Increasing
blood flow in this region, significantly improves women's sensitivity,
response, and enjoyment.
Sexual Dysfunction and The
KegelMaster:

on sexual health and the KegelMaster.
Routine use of the KegelMaster can
dramatically increase vaginal strength and control as well as the blood flow
to the vaginal region. As this happens, the vagina becomes
significantly more sensitive and responsive. Many previously
non-orgasmic women report becoming orgasmic, others report experiencing
vaginal as well as clitoral orgasms - again or for the first time.
Also, during intimacy, men are able to sense the stronger, tighter vaginal
muscles - which significantly enhances their experience as well.
The increased circulation
of blood flow to the vaginal muscular area causes greater sensitivity to any
stimulation and a tremendous decrease in the vaginal opening. Men and women in
monogamous relationships have written telling us that every time they
experience intimacy that it feels like a different partner. This is due to involuntary contractions which occur during
intimacy. The reason men and women do not normally feel these
contractions is that the vaginal muscles are so weak (tightness does not
equal strength). We recommend that the KegelMaster is used for 10 to
15 minutes before intercourse, and both of you will experience significantly
more rewarding and fulfilling intimacy.
